Born in september 1974, is a Brazilian photographer and cinematographer that believes image is the most powerfull tool to comunicate globaly.
In 1996 he got a job as a P.A. (Production Assistant) at a local production company in Santa Catarina State. In 1997, as soon he finishs Journalism School, decides to go to Cuba, at EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine Y TV) to study Screenplay and Cinematography, after that all became clear: Been behind a camera was his real passion.
In 1998 he started shooting Tv commercials and a few years later, in 2001, he starts shooting Fashion Photography, in Brazil and abroad.
Rubens is always travelling to upgrade his skills,
In 2003 went to Rockport College to study Advanced Cinematography.
In 2006 took some photography Workshops in NYC
From 2011 till 2015 went to NAB and Cinegear to Panels, and Workshops.
In 2016 went to ASC Master Class in Los Angeles, and also the Cooke Optics Workshop on lens service and repair.
Since 2010 Rubens is one of the owners of BlackBox Cameras, the biggest camera rental company in South Brazil.
